EAA Chapter 59 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aviation organization located in Waco, Texas. One
purpose of the Chapter is to promote and encourage young people to enter into aviation fields
through education and association with aviation related activities.

The purpose of the EAA Chapter 59 Scholarship is to encourage deserving aviation students to
continue their aviation training to completion and continue their lifelong participation in EAA and aviation activities.
The Chapter will offer a $2000 scholarship to a deserving aviation student applicant to support
their continued aviation training activities.
Eligibility / Qualifications for the scholarship are as follows:
-United States Citizen
-Resident of Texas or a student attending a college in Texas
-Active student pilot having completed flight training through solo flight
OR
-Active student having completed one semester of a collegiate aviation program and
maintained a minimum "B" grade average
-Member of the EAA, Inc.
-Member of a local EAA Chapter
The scholarship is available for students in any aviation discipline: A&P mechanics, pilots, avionics technicians, dispatchers, air traffic controllers, airport management, aeronautical engineering, etc. Pilots working toward advanced certificates and ratings are also eligible to apply.
All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and the recipient will be notified
of their selection. The scholarship recipient and their guests will be invited to the next Chapter 59
meeting to receive the award.
Scholarships will be granted at the sole discretion of EAA Chapter 59 and awards are not mandatory.
EAA Chapter 59 will pursue whatever means necessary to retain the fund in the event
of a default and any expense involved will be the responsibility of the awardee.
Please ensure you meet all the eligibility and qualification criteria prior to applying. The selected
applicant will be required to substantiate eligibility prior to being awarded a scholarship.
The application submission deadline is 01JUL of each year, and the award will be presented at the
Chapter pancake breakfast/safety meeting on the second Saturday of August each year.
